German Selection for the IOI team
About the competition

Target: Skilled german high schools students interested in competitive programming, mainly selected from prestigeous german high school competitions.

Rounds: 3. First round is the so called pre selection, second round is the actual selection process and the third round, consisting of the top 6-8 people, were ultimately selected for the IOI team. The further you make it in the selction, the more training you will receive.

Result and Year: Ranked 16th in the second selection round and did not made it to the final round.

What I have learned from the German IOI selection

basically intro to the world of competitive programming.

learned C++ form scratch

learned how to implement most of the algorithms I got to know in the Bundeswettbewerb Informatik as I just knew how they worked in principle as of then, gained a lot of in-depth knowledge about implementation
